I make images that are vibrant in color, and
abstract in nature...
color is the language that I use to express my feelings and my thoughts being born in the Mediterranean specificallyTunisia influenced me a lot when it comes to using colors, I believe that colors is a universal language therefore
i want to reach out and engage with much larger audiences .
The colors I choose create mood,
atmosphere, and a vibration of energy unique to each viewer and take them to their own special vision and imagination.
the creative process involves
imagination and getting in touch with the subconscious. My one clear
aim is to use colors and shapes and to apply the paint in a passionate
way which comes out of me as positive creative energy. so therefore painting
allows me to look at subject matter that is simple in nature and bears
some beauty.
In my painting I walk the line between representation and
abstraction within the same frame. Abstracted images encourage direct
experience and invite emotional identification with the suggestion of
imagined terrain.
The things that inspire me to create are found all around me whether landscapes ,cityscape,figures.. and The inspiration found in nature for my art seems endless. Beauty is everywhere
and as an artist I try to use colors to interpret that beauty, trying to integrate my personal style,
and put it out there for people to connect with.
The combination of various mediums and materials
I enjoy working with are acrylic, oil, glue, sand, charcoal,pigments,pastels,collages... and My method of layering symbolizes change, time,
and growth. Because of multi-layering, the paintings become an ongoing experience
for the viewer. This also integrates my idea of trying to notice things in nature
that some may overlook, or take for granted.
My style
involves contrasting aspects of the simplicity of daily life to the
complexity of the human condition. Hopefully my work elicits emotional
responses and vividly expresses my passion for art and life.
My work is
intuitive, it always remains true to expressing raw emotion, primal sensuality and spontaneous creativity. I am very grateful that I have found painting as a means
of self expression and to know that the process of learning never
stops.
